About Us
Jose Nunez and his wife Lupe Arellano entered farming by growing avocados in his home state in Mexico. Long time area resident Jose worked for many years at Driscoll Strawberries, until he enrolled in the AlbaFarmers.org program. He proved his aptitude for farming by working a 1 acre plot lent to him by the AlbaFarmers program. After his graduation he acquired his own farming property in Gilroy, CA. He named his farm Tu Universo which translates to - Your Universe - which is what a farm is if you think about it. Their farm produces a wide variety of crops year round. They sell at farmers markets and also at their roadside stand in south Santa Cruz County.

About Us
Biodynamics is a holistic, sustainable form of agriculture developed out of a series of lectures given in 1924 by Rudolf Steiner, the Austrian philosopher, scientist, and esotericist. It is comprehensive in scope, taking into account everything from the cycles of the moon and stars to the soil, plants, animals and people. This approach allows a regenerative “farm organism” to develop over time which is in harmony with both the environment and cosmos as a whole. The resulting harvests of this farm organism provide foods and medicines that are truly nutritious and full of vital energies as well. It was the first ecological farming system to develop in response to the rise of synthetic chemical and specialized agriculture after the turn of the 20th century and reflects Steiner’s belief that in the future, humanity’s work with the land must become sacred. It is now practiced by growing numbers of advocates worldwide both on commercial scale farms and home-scale gardens.

About Us
Blue Heron Farms, located in the picturesque Corralitos, California, is a charming 18-acre certified organic farm. It's a place brimming with passion for growing a diverse selection of top-notch vegetables and beautiful flowers. The story of Blue Heron began back in 1985 when Dennis Tamura, inspired by his gardening studies with Alan Chadwick in the 1970s and his experience running the U.C. Santa Cruz Farm & Garden Apprenticeship Program, decided to start this wonderful venture. Today, it's a joint effort of Dennis and his wife, Lori Perry, along with an incredible team of hardworking individuals from Jalisco and Michoacan, Mexico. There's also a dedicated flower crew led by the experienced Kelly Brown, as well as a committed market staff. The farm is truly blessed with its idyllic surroundings – a cool climate, soft soil, and the company of live oaks and a diverse habitat with deer, bobcats, and coyotes. The work is undoubtedly demanding, but the Blue Heron family considers themselves fortunate to be farming on the beautiful Central Coast. Here, organic-sustainable farming is valued, and they have the privilege of connecting directly with loyal customers at farmers' markets, as well as serving chefs, grocery stores, and florists. It's a place where the love for nature and quality produce come together in perfect harmony. 🌱🌸

About Us
Wildstag Provisions was born out of a passion for food and love of animals. The irony of our love of animals and offering meat is not lost on us. We strongly believe in the biological cycle of life and death. As omnivores, humans are active in this cycle, but too often engage recklessly, without care for the animals and their environments. We are stewards of quality, with care to ensure that our meat is sourced with animal welfare and environmental consciousness as top priorities. That is why our ranch partners are carefully vetted using strict holistic criteria. Why wild game? Simple. As a hunting family it's what we know and understand. It is also beautiful, healthy table fare that is difficult to find in grocery stores.

About Us
Hey there! We're passionate about pastured poultry at Fogline Farm. Our Cornish Cross broilers enjoy a great life—first 2 weeks in a cozy brooder, then 4 weeks on lush pasture, soaking up sun and feasting on bugs. At 6 weeks, they head to a family-run USDA slaughter facility in Modesto, CA. After that, we bring them back to our certified kitchen in Santa Cruz, where our skilled butchers create our popular chicken products. Speaking of our farm, it's a slice of paradise on the Ano Nuevo Peninsula—40 acres of pure beauty!

About Us
Garden Variety Cheese
In March 2009, we initiated commercial milking and cheese production, specializing in utilizing the delectable and rich sweet milk from our sheep to craft exceptional cheese and yogurt. Each of our ewes, personified by a garden flower's name, is cherished and treated with immense care and respect. Our dairy sheep are seasonal milk producers, generously yielding milk for approximately six to ten months annually. To ensure a continuous supply of fresh milk for yogurt year-round, we strategically stagger the breeding of our 80 ewes. This approach guarantees a steady production cycle, maintaining a consistent product availability.

About Us
Bella Vista Ranch Olive Oils
In 2014, my husband and I purchased a 40-acre parcel nestled in the foothills of the Diablo Mountains in Central California. The Santa Ana Valley, or "Organic Valley" as the locals call it, hosts a myriad of organic farms and free-range cattle and poultry ranches. As 4th-generation farmers, we felt right at home, knowing our neighbors valued "slow food" as much as we did. On this property was a sad, neglected 10-acre olive grove overgrown with weeds and thistles. Never having been nurtured, the previous owners believed that it was not able to produce fruit. The challenge was on! We had faith in our olive grove and in our ability to farm. Careful pruning, planting a cover crop to add nutrients back into the soil, and irrigating really paid off - each year we have doubled our harvest, and we are proud to claim an exceptional tonnage-per acre yield. The trees are happy! And now we would like to share our blessing with you. It's amazing what a little love and care did for our "Little Orchard That Could."
